Japanese artist based in Tokyo, working primarily in painting, alongside illustration and manga. Born in 1995 in Tokyo, where she currently lives and works.

In 2026, she completed the “Super Nihonga Seminar” (an experimental Japanese-style painting program) at Bigakko.

Based in Tokyo, she presents exhibitions of her paintings and creates illustrations for books. She also works as a manga artist under the name Nakamura Ippan (four published volumes).

Through the contours of plants and the repetition of lines, she explores a sensation in which the boundary between herself and nature begins to blur.

She began drawing around the age of six and has long been absorbed in the act of repeatedly tracing lines. Her beloved dog was always by her side, and they spent long hours together.

She grew up surrounded by mountains and the sea, where, through playing with sand, water, and mud, she developed a sense that her body and the surrounding environment were dissolving into one another.

As a neurodivergent person (ADHD and autism), she found it difficult to navigate distance in relationships with others. Nature and her dog—beings with whom she could coexist without words—became a place of refuge.

By closely observing the plants before her and layering lines, she experiences a quieting of the world and a fading of the boundaries of the self. In those moments, feelings of loneliness and anxiety recede, and she senses herself existing as part of the environment.

Underlying these experiences is an interest in an animistic view of nature. Through encountering the works of Japanese writers such as Kenji Miyazawa, Sansei Yamao, and Banana Yoshimoto, she has explored a sensibility in which the visible and the invisible, and life and death as two sides of the same coin, coexist.

She paints to evoke both a sense of immersion in plants and the coexistence of awe and comfort.
